I had the privilege of working with Andy for 4 years. He is a force of nature. His positive energy is contagious. He was an extremely well loved teacher; highly regarded by students and staff alike. He put on countless productions: plays, musical showcases, battles of the bands, carol concerts, basically he would support any idea that needed musical back-up with his trademark upbeat attitude, energy, and enthusiasm. I remember Andy running drumming workshops for staff and these remain one of the most enjoyable things I have ever done. I have also watched Andy perform, playing violin, piano and, most memorably, the trumpet. I remember being speechless the first time I heard him play the trumpet, his talent is extraordinary. Andy is a unique character and a phenomenal talent. I can’t recommend him highly enough.
