Graduating in 1997 with a BMus in Jazz Performance from Leeds Uni and the University of North Texas, I have been playing Commercial, Jazz and Theatre music for 30 years.

Piano & Keyboards

I play the piano every day. I love getting out and playing cocktail sets and function gigs. It’s great to be able to make a a big celebration extra special by providing just what the party needs.

I have also been piano MD on many musicals (including being vocal coach) including:

Conducting & Directing

I studied conducting with Eugene Corporon (UNT) and Eno Koço (Leeds). This was an inspirational footing that gave me the confidence I needed to embark on a rewarding career as a Director of Music.

I draw upon this experience to bring the best out of the musicians in front of me. I believe that a sympathetic, knowlegable and technically adept conductor can inspire an ensemble to come together and be stronger than the sum of its parts

Composing and Arranging

  • I create bespoke arrangements, so that all ages, instruments and abilities can perform music together.

  • I work with Lyricists and Playwrights to provide the music that helps their words spring into life.

  • I am in my element when I’m working towards a new score, whether for a theatre production or project launch!

I take on commisions for original music, including songwriting for scriptwriters and directors. I recently loved attending a performance of ‘Al is In wonderland’ at a Thomas’s London Day School, including my original score. Other recent work includes original score for an adaptation of ‘James and the Giant Peach’ and another for ‘The Day The Crayons Quit’, both for St Pauls Juniors, London.

    This was a great gig - a live DVD recording for Rio artist Gerson King, with backing band Supergroove. An amazing opportunity to play trumpet in a horn section with some of Rio’s finest. What an absolute blast!
